A warm phone call to your parent every morning — and a text to you that they're okay.
Dote gives your aging parent a friendly daily check-in, and gives you peace of mind between your own calls. No app or smartphone needed — just their regular phone.
Dote on the people who raised you.
Join the pilotYou can't call every day. You worry anyway. Between work, kids, and life, it's hard to check in as often as you'd like — and the distance can make a lonely parent feel even more alone. You don't always know how they're really doing until something goes wrong.
How it works
You sign your parent up
Takes about 3 minutes. Tell us a little about them and when they'd like their call.
They get a warm call each morning
A friendly check-in — how they slept, their plans, a real conversation. On their normal phone. Nothing to learn or install.
You get a short text afterward
How they're doing, what they're up to, and a heads-up if anything seems off.
What you get
- ✓A friendly daily check-in so your parent starts the day with a connection.
- ✓A simple daily summary so you're never in the dark.
- ✓A real alert — a call, not a buried notification — if something sounds wrong.
Honest about what this is
It's a companion and a check-in, not a medical or emergency service. If there's an emergency, we help your parent get to real help and call you right away.
Your parent agrees to this too. We only call people who've said yes to a friendly daily call and to us sharing a summary with you.
We're in an early pilot. A small group of families, lots of personal attention, and your feedback shapes what we build.

Questions families ask
Does my parent need a smartphone or internet?
No. Any phone that takes calls works.
What if they don't want to talk to a computer?
During the pilot, calls are often delivered personally. Either way, we only continue if your parent enjoys them.
What happens in an emergency?
We help them get to real help (911 or their emergency contact) immediately and contact you. We are not a substitute for emergency services.
Can my parent say no, or stop?
Always. Their comfort comes first.
What do you do with the recordings and notes?
We keep them private and use them only to provide and improve your parent's calls. A plain-English privacy note is on the way.
